West Cigarettes

West Cigarette is a German tobacco brand owned by the British company Imperial Tobacco. West Cigarette has been the principal sponsor of the McLaren Formula One team, renamed West McLaren Mercedes, since 1997. In July 2005 West Cigarettes terminated its relationship with McLaren due to a European Union ban on tobacco advertising.

Since the early 90s it has become a popular brand in more 100 countries, with particular strengths in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. Today West Cigarette is the second largest selling discount cigarette in Germany, the leading brand in Slovenia and Slovakia and a strong performer in Russia, Azerbaijan and Poland.
